Compare pet urns: choosing a place for their ashes

There is no single way to remember a much-loved companion. You may want to keep their ashes close, scatter some, or make a place for remembrance in the garden. The best choice is the one that feels right for you.

Keep, scatter or remember in the garden?

  • Keep: An urn can be a place to keep ashes at home. Choose a design you would like to live with, and check its capacity and opening before ordering.
  • Scatter: You might wish to scatter some ashes and keep some. Check how much you plan to keep and whether your chosen urn has the space you need. Check permission and local guidance for your chosen place before scattering.
  • Garden: A garden can be a place to remember your pet, whether or not you keep their ashes there. If you intend to place an urn outdoors, ask us whether that particular design and finish are suitable for your chosen position before ordering.

Material and finish

These White Doe designs are cast stone. The wrapped and cat portraits are described as chalk off-white. The canopic jar has a black finish with antique-gold details. See each listing for its finish, and ask us if you need help checking where a piece can be placed.

Size guides and capacity

For several portrait designs, the following bands are pet-weight guidance, not measured ash capacity. Check the individual listing: not every design has selectable sizes.

Size Pet-weight guide Usable capacity
Small–Medium Up to 15 kg See listing or ask us
Medium–Large Up to 30 kg See listing or ask us

Check the space inside

See the individual listing for size and capacity. If an exact capacity or opening measurement is not shown, ask us before ordering, especially if you want an existing bag or container to fit. Outside measurements do not tell you the space inside.
