Custom Pet Busts from Photos: A Buyer’s Guide

A custom pet bust is a sculpted portrait made from photographs of your pet. It can be a way to remember a pet you have lost, or to celebrate one who is still beside you.

Choose your bust

The solid cast stone bust is approximately 18 cm tall and about 2 kg; its width and depth follow the portrait. It can be displayed indoors or outdoors.

The standard custom pet bust, from Ripleys Nest, is approximately 18 cm high, with width and depth following your pet’s proportions. It is for indoor display, comes in Warm Marble Grey or Pure White, and can carry personal wording on the base.

Which photos should I send?

Choose a clear photo taken from the front, showing the eyes, nose, ears and markings. Side views help where you have them, and natural light helps too. Avoid heavy filters and blurred photos if you can. You can send up to five photos for either bust. The cast stone bust needs a front view, and a very open mouth may not suit it. If you are unsure about a photo, ask us before ordering.

What happens after ordering?

We look at your photos and email you a digital design preview before the final piece is made. The cast stone bust includes up to two rounds of small changes. The standard bust includes one change, and if the design is still not right, you can have a refund before work starts.
