Ripleys Nest is a small UK workshop in Cumbria/Lake District. For questions about this notice or your information, email hello@ripleysnest.co.uk.
Why we may use business contact information
We may use limited public business-contact information to make a relevant, low-volume introduction to a business about Ripleys Nest commissioned work. We treat these introductions as direct marketing. We do not use this guide to contact pet owners or collect bereavement-case information.
Where the UK GDPR applies, our intended lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): a proportionate interest in introducing a relevant business service to a carefully selected organisation. We verify that the organisation is a corporate subscriber before a cold business email. We do not use legitimate interests to bypass PECR consent requirements for sole traders, unincorporated partnerships or other individual subscribers.
Information and sources
We may record the organisation name, website, public business email, a business contact name or role where needed, the public source URL, company legal form, and a minimal record of messages, replies, objections, opt-outs or suppression instructions.
Sources are the organisation's own public business website and, where needed to confirm company status or a business role, Companies House. A first prospecting message identifies the specific source used.
Please do not send pet-owner, bereavement-case, health or other sensitive personal information in response to a prospecting message.
Who handles the information
The information is handled only by the Ripleys Nest workshop for this purpose. Hostinger provides the business email service. Shopify provides the website and contact forms if you choose to use them. We do not sell prospect information. Service providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable contractual and legal transfer safeguards.
How long we keep it
- A researched prospect that is excluded or never contacted is removed within 30 days of the final pilot decision.
- A contacted pilot record is deleted or anonymised within 90 days after the pilot closes, unless it has become an active business conversation. Active enquiries move into the ordinary enquiry, contract or order record needed to handle that relationship.
- If you object or opt out, we keep only the minimum suppression record needed to avoid contacting you again. We keep that record while Ripleys Nest continues direct email marketing and review the suppression list at least annually.
- Invalid or inaccurate contact details are corrected or removed promptly.
Your choices and rights
You can object to direct marketing at any time, free of charge. Reply to the message with stop or unsubscribe, or email hello@ripleysnest.co.uk. We will stop marketing contact and add the minimum suppression record needed to respect your choice.
You may also ask for access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction of personal information about you. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Ripleys Nest does not use open tracking, read receipts, tracking pixels, profiling or solely automated decision-making for this pilot.
