Fit & fixing
Fit & fixing
Fit & fixing
Add your rats' names, cage name or a short message before checkout. The wording is saved with the item and checked before we make it.
Personalisation: one custom side sign
Included: one mailbox rat hide and metal cage fittings
Use: indoor rat cages with standard wire bars
Production: Handmade to order in Cumbria. Dispatched in around 7 working days after your wording is received.
What to enter
Type the side-sign wording exactly as you want it shown. Short wording reads best, for example “Luna & Bean”, “The Rat Post” or “Hazel's Hideout”. We will email if anything needs clarifying.
Before you order
Check the gallery views, entrance and intended mounting position against the available cage space. Personalised pieces cannot be cancelled once work starts and are non-returnable unless faulty.
Care and safety
Wipe with a damp cloth and allow it to dry fully before returning it to the cage. Check the fittings and edges during normal cage cleans and remove the hide if it becomes damaged, rough or heavily chewed.
Delivery: Free UK shipping. Tracked international shipping is available at checkout.
How it fixes: a headless bolt screws into a threaded metal insert in the piece, goes through the cage and is held on the outside with washers and a wing nut, so it tightens by hand. Fits cage bars up to about 2.5 cm (1 in).
