Fit & fixing
Fit & fixing
Fit & fixing
Mount the two shelves at matching or staggered heights to break up open vertical space and create extra ledges for climbing and perching. Metal fittings for standard wire cage bars are included.
Included: two dragon rat shelves and metal cage fittings
Approximate size: each shelf is approximately 20–25 cm wide
Use: indoor rat cages with standard wire bars
Production: Handmade to order in Cumbria. Dispatched in around 7 working days.
Before you order
Check the available cage space, bar spacing and intended shelf positions. The pair can be mounted at different heights to suit your cage layout.
Care and safety
Wipe with a damp cloth and allow the shelves to dry fully before returning them to the cage. Check all fittings and shelf edges during normal cage cleans; remove a shelf if it becomes damaged, rough or heavily chewed.
Delivery: Free UK shipping. Tracked international shipping is available at checkout.
For standard, unused items, see Returns and cancellations for the cancellation notification and return steps.
How it fixes: a headless bolt screws into a threaded metal insert in the piece, goes through the cage and is held on the outside with washers and a wing nut, so it tightens by hand. Fits cage bars up to about 2.5 cm (1 in).
