Five checks before you submit it

  1. Make it specific. A nickname, date, place or tiny shared reference usually says more than a generic slogan.
  2. Keep only the words you need. Short wording gives the design more room to breathe, especially on a small base or sign.
  3. Read it aloud. This catches awkward phrasing surprisingly quickly.
  4. Check spelling, names and dates. Do not assume a workshop can know that a deliberately unusual spelling is wrong.
